Our grandson's signed Lion's tee-shirt was
cut so that both the front and the signatures could be displayed. Mats were used to frame two pictures of him getting the
shirt signed, and we mounted the glove and two wrists bands that players gave him at a Lion's game.

This adorable little tutu was worn by our granddaughter
when she was only 4 years old. We added a picture of her wearing it before her recital, and mounted her tiny first ballet
slippers!

This shadowbox holds antique dentistry tools. We found some vintage Colgate
cartoon-style ads, then mounted several tools around those. At the bottom we piled up several packages of dental medicine
packages and smaller tools.

Ken added two little shelves to this shadowbox to hold some
of the many antique pharmacy-related packages and tins. We used prescriptions from 1907 to create a backdrop.

One of our first shadowboxes, this one holds heartstrings.
From the early 1920's, this little dress and leather button-up shoe belonged to my mother. We added a picture of her taking
her first steps, wearing those shoes, and used heritage scrapbooking paper for a background.

Floating (or very slight shadowboxing),can really set
off a monochrome item such as this black and white wedding invitation. (The picture of the couple is overlaid by vellum
on which the invitation is printed.) The embossed flowers on the top mat add some elegance and texture--it floats about 2"
above the bottom black mat.
